The beautiful country of Croatia is in the shape of a crescent or a horseshoe situated between Middle Europe and South-Central Europe. It shares its borders with Serbia, Bosnia, Herzegovina and Montenegro, Slovenia, Hungary and Italy.

The national airline is Croatia Airlines with major airports at Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Rijeka, Bol, Losinj, Pula and Osijek. Croatia has an excellent ferry system operated by Jadrolinija on most of the islands and linking to coastal cities. The Croatian Railways operates the train services.
The country is famous for its national parks on the river Krka, Plitvice Lakes, and Paklenica. You can also visit the National Park Brijuni islands, National Park Cornati islands, the National Park island Mljet and the old towns of Zadar, Trogir, Split, Sibenik and Dubrovnik.
